Job Description:

Join an iconic Australian restaurant group at Grill Americano Sydney, a new opulent Venetian-style steakhouse in a significant architectural icon. The role involves overseeing pastry kitchen operations, menu development, and team leadership in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pastry kitchen
Assist with menu development and management of cost for your area
Lead, motivate and supervise the team while ensuring quality and consistency

Requirements:

Experience as a Senior Sous chef in an a-la-carte restaurant
Display creativity and a passion for all things pastry
Exemplary leadership skills with focus on staff development
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
A proactive, problem-solving attitude with commitment to continuous learning
Strong organisational skills and the ability to remain composed in high-pressure and fast-paced service periods
Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Availability to work a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
