Job Description:

We are seeking a senior-level Solutions Designer to lead the design and development of advanced Business Intelligence solutions. This role is instrumental in translating complex business needs into high-performing technical frameworks using both Microsoft Power BI and Cognos, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and industry best practices.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the design, testing, and installation of new BI systems, ensuring seamless integration between existing platforms and new cloud/on-premise services
  • Act as the primary subject matter expert and technical advisor for all aspects of BI deliverables, providing expert assistance to various technology teams
  • Develop and manage end-to-end solutions using Power BI, Cognos, SSIS, and SQL-based reporting tools
  • Design and maintain semantic models, dimensional models, and data warehouse architectures optimized for advanced analytics
  • Oversee ETL processes (SSIS, Informatica) and automate release pipelines (CI/CD) using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions to ensure smooth production deployments
  • Work with stakeholders to define technical roadmaps, determine project scope, and provide objective advice on I&IT requirements
  • Manage deployment activities in coordination with Infrastructure and Operations teams, including the creation of comprehensive "Release Books"
  • Ensure rigorous documentation and formal knowledge transfer to designated internal staff through walkthroughs and version-controlled repositories

Requirements:

  • 10+ years as a Solution Designer/Developer with a heavy focus on the Microsoft BI Suite (Power BI, MS SQL, SSIS)
  • Extensive experience with both Power BI Service (Cloud) and Power BI Server (On-Prem), including administration and row-level security
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in ETL development, data migration, and daily job handling
  • Proficient in MS SQL Server, Oracle, Visual Studio, .NET Framework, and version control tools (GIT)
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies, as well as change management principles
  • Proven ability in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and consensus-building to resolve complex business pain points
