Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled, proactive, and pragmatic Senior Solution Architect to lead the design and integration of merchandising technology solutions, focusing on the design and implementation of vendor-supplied software adapted to our business processes and technology landscape. This role is responsible for designing how systems interact and integrate, ensuring that technology solutions directly support business needs while remaining scalable, cost-effective, and maintainable. It also includes aligning technical solutions with architectural standards while prioritizing business outcomes.

Job Responsibility:

Interpret Business Needs: Translate business and technical requirements into capability maps, reference architecture and system design specifications
Technology Leadership: lead technical vendor assessment, RFPs, and PoC activities
Apply Technology: Lead the design and evolution of solution architecture, including static, dynamic, and deployment views
Foster strong collaboration and alignment between business and technical teams to ensure shared understanding and joint ownership of solutions

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Systems Analysis, or a related field—or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience in software development or IT infrastructure
3+ years in a solution architecture or technical leadership role
Strong understanding of architecture and integration patterns, system scalability, and high-volume transactional environments
Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders in a multinational environment
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is a plus
Proven track record of delivering large-scale and complex solutions
Experience developing architecture diagrams, technology approaches, and roadmaps
Experience delivering presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences
Self-starter with the ability to bring clarity and structure to ambiguous situations

Nice to have:

Experience working in the fuel and convenience industry is desired, but not required
