Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Solicitor to join and strengthen our high-performing Legal Team at Forge Holiday Group. This is a fantastic opportunity to play an influential role in a private equity-backed business in the travel and holiday rental sector. In this role, you will support the Head of Legal across a wide range of matters including commercial contracting, disputes, M&A and strategic projects. You’ll take ownership of your work, deliver timely pragmatic legal advice, and help coach and supervise colleagues to uplift capability within the function. The team has developed self-service tools, including templates and guidance on its Legal intranet, and this role will build on that foundation to enable the business to move faster, with clarity and confidence. Legal embraces technology and has embarked on its journey to use AI to drive efficiency, reduce friction, and scale legal support intelligently across the Group.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver strategic, commercially focused legal advice to enable growth while managing risk
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts
  • Support the Group’s dispute resolution strategy, balancing commercial and reputational outcomes
  • Advise on M&A and strategic projects, supporting growth and transformation
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams across Customer Services, Product, Tech, Marketing, Finance, HR, and more, to embed legally robust processes
  • Develop and maintain self-service legal tools, templates, and guidance to drive speed and consistency
  • Champion the use of AI tools within Legal to enhance efficiency and scale support
  • Coach and review work of junior colleagues, elevating legal capability across the function
  • Support the Head of Legal in shaping and executing the Group’s legal and procurement strategy

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 4+ years PQE (in-house or leading private practice background)
  • Strong grounding in commercial law and contract negotiation
  • Commercially minded, pragmatic, and able to balance risk with opportunity
  • Excellent communicator, able to simplify complexity and influence across levels
  • Experienced in managing stakeholders and navigating evolving business needs
  • Proactive problem-solver who brings clarity, structure, and drive
