Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Software Engineer to join our Client's Quality, Warranty, Verification & Validation team. This is not a traditional coding or testing role; rather, it is a strategic technical position focused on the "Shift Left" philosophy driving early defect detection and prevention across our Client's automotive platforms. You will serve as a technical mentor and process architect, ensuring our Client's software reaches the highest standards of reliability and safety before it ever hits the road.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead "Shift Left" strategies to identify and mitigate software risks during the earliest stages of development
  • Support Failure Mode Analysis (FMA) and conduct deep-dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on warranty and field issues using 8D, Fishbone, and 3-legged 5-Why methodologies
  • Lead software design and joint engineering reviews to ensure strict compliance with architectural and quality standards
  • Define and improve methods for software verification and validation, ensuring alignment with ASPICE and ISO 26262 (Functional Safety)
  • Partner with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve systemic issues in connected gateways and telematics
  • Coach engineering teams on best practices for software quality, functional safety, and cybersecurity

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience within the Automotive Industry, specifically focused on quality, warranty, or V&V
  • Strong understanding of embedded software (C/C++, AUTOSAR) to effectively evaluate technical risks
  • Proven experience implementing ISO 26262 Functional Safety and performing Failure Mode Analysis (FMA)
  • Mastery of Root Cause Analysis (SQA/SQC) for Electronic Control Units (ECUs)

  • Knowledge of ASPICE assessments and ISO 9001 standards
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and open-source software compliance
