Job Description:

This long-term contract position focuses on advancing technical solutions through platform modernization, risk mitigation, and security enhancements while retiring outdated systems. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise, adapt quickly to enterprise environments, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Analyze existing applications, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines to identify areas for improvement and modernization
  • Assess legacy systems for risks, limitations, and opportunities for upgrades or replacements
  • Plan and implement strategies for system migrations, upgrades, or retirements
  • Utilize modern DevOps practices and cloud-based solutions to enhance system performance and security
  • Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and internal teams to address dependencies and optimize workflows
  • Document technical decisions, processes, and provide detailed implementation support
  • Deliver post-implementation support, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer and system reliability
  • Upgrade and manage messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch/Kibana, and related technologies
  • Refactor codebases to remove outdated dependencies, introducing innovative tools and solutions
  • Implement and configure security tools like Snyk to address vulnerabilities and improve release quality

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, .NET, JavaScript, and Node.js
  • Experience with cloud services, including Azure DevOps and Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS)
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and database management, including MongoDB
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Expertise in system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and application modernization
  • Knowledge of messaging systems like RabbitMQ and Azure Service Bus
  • Ability to work with tools for security vulnerability management, such as Snyk
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering or related roles
