Job Description:

Senior Software Engineering Manager role in Wells Fargo's Chief Operating Officer Technology organization, focusing on financial crimes domain including enterprise KYC, Screening, and Strategic Data platform for BSA/AML. The position involves leading cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions while managing a complex technology organization across multiple global locations.

Job Responsibility:

Manage, coach, and develop a team of experienced engineers and engineering managers
Ensure adherence to Banking Platform Architecture and non-functional requirements
Partner with architects to incorporate Wells Fargo Technology technical strategies
Function as technical representative for the product during cross-team collaborative efforts
Identify and recommend opportunities for driving resolution of technology roadblocks
Determine appropriate strategies to meet deliverables and remove impediments
Build engineering skills and conduct peer reviews
Interpret, develop and ensure security, stability, and scalability
Collaborate with Product Managers/Product Owners to drive user satisfaction
Interact directly with third party vendors and technology service providers
Manage allocation of people and financial resources
Hire, build and guide a culture of talent development

Requirements:

6+ years of Software Engineering experience
3+ years of management or leadership experience
6+ years of overall experience in software engineering, including 8+ years in a management or leadership role
5+ years of technology leadership experience in the financial domain, preferably in financial crimes, KYC
5+ years of experience managing a complex technology organization of large scale
Strong planning (finance, resource, strategy, business), decision making and prioritization skills
Experience leading large global teams
Experience coaching and mentoring managers and individual contributors
Experience managing complex, diverse technology portfolios
Experience deploying automation and cognitive techniques
Experience working with API's and application integration
Experience in automated DevOp's / DevSecOp's agile environment
API development experience
Advanced skills in Spring, Spring boot, Spark, Java/C++, R, Python
Strong knowledge of AI/ML capabilities
In depth technical knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Angular, JQuery, HTML, JavaScript, Node JS, React JS
Solid understanding of modern Web and Mobile development
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience

Nice to have:

Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience
Experience with API Marketplace
Experience with Messaging, SOAP, Web-services
Experience in financial crimes domain
Cloud readiness experience
Application modernization experience
