Job Description:

Senior Software Engineer role at HSBC working with HASE Technology team to deliver technical projects with end-to-end responsibility including design, development, testing, and production support.

Job Responsibility:

Complete on-time end-to-end technical project delivery including requirement clarification, detailed solution design, coding and testing, releasing, production support and bug fixing
Taking ownership of specific module/initiative for PoC to implement business/technical requirement
Supporting other team members in the owning area and knowledge sharing
Participates and contributes in team's solution design, problem investigation and design/coder review
Participates and supports team's events/activities and helps in team's continuous improvements in delivery productivity, collaboration and visibility

Requirements:

Bachelor degree of Computer Science, Software Engineering or related major
2.5+ years' experience in Java back-end development with HTTPS, RESTful API, micro services and message queue
Good sense and experience in high-availability service architecture
Good experience in SQL and one of the databases MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle or Postgres SQL
Good communication skills to be able to express complex problems logically and briefly
A team player, preferably having agile team experience

Nice to have:

Experience in high-volume data processing and compute
Experience in building services on cloud (especially GCP)
Experience in production support
Working in a global team with different cultures
Knowledge on cash products, cash trading and front office operations
Experience in DevOps environment
