Job Description

A London based end client is embarking on a major engineering transformation, moving from a fully manual software development lifecycle to a modern, automated, AI assisted SDLC. They are looking for a hands on Senior Software Engineer to lead this transition and introduce AI augmented development practices across the organisation.

Job Responsibility

  • Assessing an entirely manual SDLC and designing a modern automated workflow
  • Introducing CI/CD, test automation, code quality guardrails, and deployment automation
  • Embedding AI tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, Azure AI) into day to day engineering
  • Using AI in solo and pair programming workflows to build and ship production code
  • Training and upskilling the internal engineering team on AI powered development
  • Establishing best practice, governance, documentation, and ongoing standards

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience in .NET and React
  • Proven ability to build and deploy production ready code
  • Hands on experience using Claude or similar AI tools to accelerate delivery
  • Track record implementing automated SDLC environments
  • CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Test automation (unit, integration, E2E)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep experience beneficial)
  • Led development from manual → automated engineering workflows
  • Embedded AI tooling into real world development practices
  • Strong architecture, delivery, and communication skills
  • The ability to move quickly, make decisions, and drive transformation
  • A passion for modern engineering and AI accelerated development
