Job Description:

Senior Software Engineer position at Ingka Group Digital (IKEA) focusing on building demand legend solution as an event-driven cloud architecture. The role involves working on systems used by over 170,000 co-workers and serving over 4 billion customers globally, with focus on Talent, Total Rewards, People Management and People Planning sub-domains.

Job Responsibility:

Building globally scalable, automatically tested, and well-functioning systems
Provide strong technical foresight and mentoring to the team
Work with many domains and subdomains to reach consent
Understanding priorities and what adds value now versus what can wait

Requirements:

Minimum 7 years of professional experience as software engineer
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
Cloud experience, GCP preferred, Alibaba Cloud is also of interest
Docker, Kubernetes, or other container technologies using modern DevOps practices
Go, Java or similar programming language experience writing well-designed, efficient code
Sprint Boot microservices and API management
Event-driven architecture using tools like Kafka, Pub/Sub, etc.
Experience with a modern, fully automated development and deployment process
In-depth understanding of design patterns with strong technical aptitude
NoSQL and relational database technologies
Logging, alerting, tracing, and debugging in the cloud
Security concepts especially around the cloud
