Job Description:

Senior (lead) Software Engineer with strong Java development skills is sought on hybrid basis by a market leading software house with hubs around the UK. This Senior Software Engineer would be joining the innovation arm of the business tasked with building complex, highly scalable greenfield solutions utilised worldwide to deliver critical infrastructure. As such experience working on enterprise level applications would be a plus. Due to the R&D driven culture within this team this Senior Software Engineer will play a lead role in shaping the technical output for solutions that incorporate the latest AI & automation & architecture. This role would suit an existing senior engineer who is looking to step up into a technical leadership role or an existing lead Engineer who is looking to work on more complex applications with national significance. With project scope set to triple over the coming months this Senior Engineer will be offered unparalleled level of progression opportunity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Building complex, highly scalable greenfield solutions utilised worldwide to deliver critical infrastructure
  • Shaping the technical output for solutions that incorporate the latest AI & automation & architecture

Requirements:

  • 5 years plus of Java experience
  • experience working on enterprise grade solution development
  • Strong framework experience (spring, Spring boot etc)
  • RDBMS experience - NoSQL, MongoDB etc
  • Troubleshooting exposure - Splunk, ELK etc
  • Git version control
  • Containerization experience - Docker, Kubernetes etc
  • TDD experience
  • Awareness of cloud technologies would be useful - AWS, Azure
  • Microservices/ serverless architecture experience
  • Team mentorship skills
