We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our microservices team in India. This role is pivotal in building secure, reliable, and scalable services that power Vodafone’s digital channels, used by millions of customers globally. You will work within a Scrum squad in a SAFe environment, contributing to the design and development of cloud-based microservices architecture and ensuring high-quality delivery through modern development practices.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and maintain microservices within a Scrum/Kanban framework in a SAFe environment
Design and implement RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
Drive quality and performance through best practices and standards
Apply BDD/TDD methodologies and utilise tools for testing, CI/CD
Promote a culture of continuous improvement through learning and coaching
Ensure quality and integrity in all deliverables
Requirements:
Extensive experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs within microservices architecture
Strong proficiency in Java frameworks, particularly Spring Boot
Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and SAFe
Skilled in BDD/TDD and CI/CD tools
Familiarity with MongoDB and stream pipeline technologies
Ability to challenge constructively and solve complex problems
Nice to have:
Certifications in Scrum or SAFe
Experience with AWS services
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container management
Exposure to event-driven architecture using Kafka
Experience with Camunda BPMN
