Job Description:

HSBC is currently seeking an experienced professional for the role of Senior Software Engineer. The candidate will focus on performance testing, automation frameworks, and enhancing cloud and DevOps architectures while mentoring juniors.

Job Responsibility:

Develop performance test strategies and plans based on project requirements
Use tools like JMeter and AppDynamics to create performance scripts and execute performance tests
Analyze performance test results to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement
Work closely with development and testing teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues
Collaborate with stakeholders to define performance requirements and performance testing objectives
Implement and maintain performance monitoring tools to track application performance in real-time
Document performance test results, findings, and recommendations for future enhancements
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in performance testing and monitoring
Mentor junior performance engineers and provide guidance on performance testing methodologies and tools.

Requirements:

Experience in building and enhancing automation frameworks
Strong Quality engineering and Test management skill sets
Good understanding of ‘Retail Banking’ domain and requirement
Good Hands on experience with Core Java, Maven / Gradle, REST API, REST ASSURED/Karate, Selenium(WebDriver), Appium, Junit, TestNG, Java IDE’s
Good understanding of HTTP, JSON protocol and syntax, Cucumber, BDD methodology, Gherkin syntax, JIRA, Jenkins (CICD exposure) and Confluence
Working experience in Agile methodology / SAFe with ‘in-sprint’ automation
Basic understanding of Performance and Cyber Security Quality Engineering
Understanding of cloud-based architectures
Good understanding of Kubernetes and Docker capabilities
Good understanding of Browser Stack or any other cloud-based device farms.
