Job Description:

This position is for Hogan team and is responsible for developing high/low level designs build/UT, Reviews, Test and implementation support. The Hogan team works with all Hogan applications, applications outside of Hogan and various business lines.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
  • Analytic and excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proactive and can work independently
  • Mentor junior team members to help them deliver the work assigned to them and train them to uplift the capability

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Technology oriented B.E/B Tech Degree or equivalent advanced degree
  • 3+ years of experience in HOGAN, preferably in CIS
  • Understand the various functionalities of the CIS to ascertain the deviation in the current process
  • 4+ years of experience in programming using COBOL, JCL, CICS, IMS, DB2 & VSAM.
  • Good working experience on mainframe utilities like sort, REXX, fileaid, endeavor easytrieve etc.
  • Good working experience on debugging tools like Xpediter, abend aid etc
  • Good experience in leading small to medium project by providing technical leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements and functional design into technical implementation.
  • Develop and maintain Hogan programs to specifications. Includes development of COBOL, JCL, IMS, CICS and DB2 program on HOGAN platform is Must. Perform unit testing and ensure functionality meets the business requirements.
  • Experience of working Scrum Agile teams.
