Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer. HSBC is committed to building a workplace that fosters development and inclusivity.

Job Responsibility:

Work with Global product managers maintain the supply/demand planning to ensure the execution feasibility
Work as part of Card engineering team with responsibility for CTB (Change the bank) project delivery or ongoing RTB support areas
Collaborate with Global credit card domain SME to understand & feedback for the established development best practice & design/development principles
Work with Credit cards solution architects/SME to review end-to-end technical design to ensure the design quality
Lead engineers/developers to work on project delivery including the development, deployment with high quality on schedule and within budget
Review/Ensure the technical design/code structure is technically coherent and future proof and compliance with technology standards and regulatory obligations
Identify any issues that may arise to delivery risk, formulate preventive actions or corrective measures and timely escalate major project risks & issues to senior management
Provide professional consultancy/support immediately for application teams’ queries/requests including the resource estimation
Provide support to help on the whole card team productivity improvement including the DevOps/Agile strengthen and automation improvement within pipelines.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or above, with CET-4 or equivalent English level
Lead of the full development life cycle, including release management
Strong on JAVA, J2EE, C, C++, Oracle
Strong on Agile/DevOps approach and practices
Manage, escalate and mitigate risks appropriately
Able to contribute towards Functional walkthroughs & discussions
Strong on End-to-end impact analysis and Quality Control and gate keeper
Strong teamwork spirit and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills and documentation skills in English
Proficiency in tooling, such as Jenkins, Git hub, Maven, Nexus
Be a SME for multiple specific areas and work independently and effectively under pressure against tight deadlines.
