The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. The Cloud Supply Chain Engineering (CSCP-E) group is an exciting and fast-evolving engineering group within Microsoft that powers Microsoft’s Cloud-first mission. Job Responsibility:
Design and develop high-quality, performant, and maintainable software solutions across front-end and back-end components
Build responsive, accessible, and scalable web applications using modern frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) and backend APIs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PM, Design, QA) to deliver features that enhance customer experience
Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with Microsoft security standards
Optimize applications for speed, reliability, and operational efficiency, including live site monitoring and incident response
Apply distributed systems concepts (e.g., concurrency, fault tolerance) to design resilient architectures
Drive engineering excellence by evolving development guidelines, tools, and processes
Foster data-driven decision-making and experimentation in feature development
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth through knowledge sharing
Design Creates test plans, defines success criteria, and improves coverage through new, updated, and automated tests
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) improvements
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 9+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
Microsoft Cloud Background Check
Experience building performant and scalable web applications
Proficiency in front-end frameworks (Angular, React) and backend development with APIs and databases
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and services like Cosmos DB, Azure SQL
Knowledge of distributed systems concepts and design patterns
Exposure to AI/ML models and developer tools
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Growth mindset with passion for learning new technologies
Understanding of security best practices and secure software development
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
