Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will participate in complex technology initiatives, design and code for projects, identify improvement opportunities, and provide guidance to junior staff. The role involves working with automation tools, adhering to CI/CD, and reporting to a physical location on a 3/2 hybrid schedule.
Job Responsibility:
Participate in high to moderately complex initiatives and projects associated with the technology domain, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts
Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements within the technology domain environment
Design, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
Review and analyze technical assignments or challenges that are related to low to medium risk deliverables and that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternative technology domains
Present recommendations for resolving issues or may escalate issues as needed to meet established service level agreements
Exercise some independent judgment while also developing understanding of given technology domain in reference to security and compliance requirements
Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders
Write Automation scripts and work with different BOT and Automation tools/products to handle IT operations and DevOps roles
Ensure the craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third-party providers
Identify and recommend opportunities for developing product functional and technical strategies for the domains, as well as the development of actionable short and long-term product roadmaps, by partnering with business product managers, lead systems architects, and more experienced engineers
Make decisions and resolve issues regarding strategic products of engineering teams to meet business objectives
Interpret and develop security, stability, and scalability within key areas of technology risk
Collaborate and consult with agile teams and product managers to drive outcomes
Mentor and guide Junior team members
Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Work with stake holders to understand the Automation requirement and provide solutions
Work in identifying the right tool set and components used for automation considering all the aspects of complexity, supportability, resiliency and cost
Adhere to firm’s standard with Risk and compliance while developing/providing solutions
Keep a good understanding on the industry standard and strategic / visionary approach in defining the products and solution
Need to work with Vendors if required
Adhere to CI/CD methodology
Create and review automation documentation
Must be able to report to the physical location according to the 3/2 hybrid schedule
Requirements:
5+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of Software Test Automation Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent and must have 6+ Years of overall experience
4+ years of experience in working with Automation projects
Good to have worked on Identity and access management tools like Oracle IAM, SailPoint IIQ , Microsoft EntraID or any other IDM products
Very strong experience on Automation scripts like Java, JavaScript, Groovy, Python, PowerShell etc
Good understanding on OOPS concepts and hands on experience using Playwright, Selenium, Hyperexecute and Harness is a must.
Workload Modeling for performance testing and hands on experience on Baseline Testing, Load Testing, Stress Testing and Endurance Testing
Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL, HTML, CSS, XML knowledge will be added advantage
Relevant experience on working with API’s and Webservers
Hands on experience in any one of the tools – Service Now or RPA
Hands on experience working on any of the BPM tools
Require understanding of Project management tools like Jira
Proficiency with Agile and DevOps practices and toolchain
Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Should possess Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively across organizational lines and with virtual team members
Provide effort estimates, identify resource needs, and enforce project and delivery standards
Strong demonstrated people development skills to hire, coach, develop, and mentor team members.
Ability to deal with ambiguities effectively (Technology, People, Process or Partner)
Enterprise experience with one or more CI/CD implementation, configuration management, build, and orchestration tools: Jenkins, Gradle, uDeploy, GitHub, GitHub Action, Artifactory, Harness IO, Spinnaker, Terraform and Ansible.
Knowledge and understanding on any one of security and code quality scanning tools: SonarQube, Fortify, BlackDuck, Checkmarx, Threadfix, Xray
Knowledge and understanding one or more Cloud platforms: AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) or VMware Tanzu App Service (TAS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure
Experience analyzing metrics and articulating data trends
Nice to have:
