Job Description:

Microsoft 365 Copilot App M3CA Next is a multidisciplinary team doing strategic thinking and exploration to help shape how AI will be used in the workplace of the future. You are a talented software engineer and passionate about building the next generation of software experiences. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. You will be part of a dynamic and agile group dedicated to innovation by learning, exploring and building working code. In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute to high-impact innovations. This may be transforming concepts to reality by building prototypes or helping to take our ideas to production. You will have the chance to tackle challenges up and down the tech stack. Job Responsibility:

Design and deliver high-quality software components and services end-to-end, with a strong focus on security, privacy, reliability, and maintainability
Drive architecture and design reviews for larger features/components
write clear specs covering design, implementation, testing, telemetry, and documentation
Collaborate across disciplines and partner teams (PM, security/privacy SMEs, other engineering teams) to align on requirements, tradeoffs, dependencies, and delivery plans
Proactively drive exploration and innovation within the team
Lead the design and development in an agile way, prototype and iterate with stakeholders, deliver value iteratively through MVP releases
Determine requirements for complex scenarios in changing ecosystem
Leverages deep subject-matter expertise of cross-product features with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., product managers) to lead project plans, release plans, and work items
Provides technical leadership for the identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform
Leads by example and mentors others to produce extensible and maintainable code used across the company
Mentor engineers in the team by providing hands-on assistance, best practices, and promoting an inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

Nice to have:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, or Python
Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
Experience in the delivery off large scale web applications
Understanding of machine learning or natural language processing concepts
Code tracing abilities
