Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of enterprise-scale applications. This role involves working across modern technology stacks, with a strong focus on .NET Core, Microservices, and React, while also leveraging engineering best practices, cloud-ready design principles, and secure development standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
  • Deliver high‑quality, secure, and scalable software solutions aligned with business and technology roadmaps
  • Take ownership of assigned modules, components, and end‑to‑end delivery responsibilities
  • Perform code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and ensure best practices are consistently applied
  • Contribute to architecture discussions, design reviews, and solution blueprinting
  • Act as a mentor to junior team members, providing technical guidance and support
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery—Product, QA, Architecture, and Infrastructure
  • Ensure timely completion of development, testing, documentation, and deployment activities
  • Proactively identify technical debt, performance issues, and improvement opportunities
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to the engineering landscape
  • Uphold Wells Fargo’s risk, compliance, and security guidelines across all development activities

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Strong 7+ years hands-on experience with .NET / .NET Core, C#, Microservices architecture, RESTful services, and design patterns
  • Proficiency in React and front-end engineering fundamentals (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS)
  • Experience with building scalable, distributed systems using modern architectural practices
  • Working knowledge of Python for automation, scripting, or backend service development (added advantage)
  • Familiarity with Gen AI tools/techniques, machine learning workflows, or integrating AI-driven components (good to have)
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices
  • Experience with cloud environments (Azure preferred) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the ability to analyze complex issues and design effective solutions
  • Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum development environments
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills

Nice to have:

  • Working knowledge of Python for automation, scripting, or backend service development
  • Familiarity with Gen AI tools/techniques, machine learning workflows, or integrating AI-driven components
