Job Description:

HSBC is currently seeking an experienced professional to join the team as a Senior Software Engineer. The candidate will be tasked with deploying and managing enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security, and implementing advanced networking solutions. The job operates within an Agile environment and focuses on tools such as Cisco DNA, SolarWinds, and Terraform.

Job Responsibility:

Deploy, and manage enterprise network infrastructures, focusing on high availability, security, and compliance
Configure and maintain Routing & Switching solutions using Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, and ASR
Implement advanced WAN, LAN, and Data Center networking solutions across global HSBC locations
Manage and optimize BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN, SD-WAN, and QoS to ensure seamless global connectivity
Troubleshoot complex network issues across multiple HSBC business units
Utilize tools like Cisco DNA Center, SolarWinds, Splunk, and Wireshark for real-time network monitoring and optimization
Conduct network risk assessments, audits, and ensure compliance with HSBC’s security policies and regulatory requirements
Work in an Agile environment, contributing to Scrum or Kanban teams for iterative network deployments

Requirements:

Working experience in Cisco Routing & Switching (CCNA/CCNP preferred)
Strong hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, HSRP, VRRP, MPLS, VXLAN, SD-WAN
Experience with firewalls, NAC, and Zero Trust security models
Experience with Cisco DNA, Sevone, HPNA, Netscout, Wireshark
Knowledge of Dev-ops tools like Python, Ansible, Terraform, Git
CCNP, AWS Networking, Cisco Devnet certifications preferred

Nice to have:

CCNP certification
AWS Networking certification
Cisco Devnet certification
Knowledge of Dev-ops tools like Python, Ansible, Terraform, Git
