Job Description:

Senior Software Engineer in Technology as part of Wealth and Investment Management Technology. This engineer will join our financial advice and planning Technology team working on modernization of products and applications development. The ideal candidate would have a very strong technical knowledge of Java and a solid foundation in micro service design methodologies.

Job Responsibility:

Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Requirements:

4+ years of Software Engineering experience
4+ years of strong technical skills in Java
4+ years of combined SQL Service, Oracle Database and Mongo DB experience
2+ years of experience in Apache Kafka/Confluent Enterprise
1+ year of experience with AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
2+ Years of Financial Services experience

Nice to have:

Strong experience working on Kafka, Microservices, and API development
Knowledge and understanding of test driven and behavior driven application development
Experience with Postman and/or Swagger UI
Experience with automated testing development
Experience with SDLC tools and processes including GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Harness
Experience with core web technologies including HTML5, Angular, JavaScript or TypeScript
