As the era of AI-powered browsers begins, Edge faces direct competition from Google, Perplexity, and OpenAI. We’re looking for exceptional engineers to join the Edge AI Companions and Agents Engineering team, one of the most high-profile and dynamic areas within Microsoft AI (MAI). Our mission is to leverage cutting-edge large language models (LLMs), context and prompt engineering to create innovative, intuitive, and state-of-the-art Copilot experiences that bring real value to browser users.
Job Responsibility:
Design and deliver flagship Edge Copilot experiences in collaboration with product and design teams
Build new infrastructure in Edge Client to expose power of modern browser to multiple teams across MAI
Take end-to-end ownership across the full stack, including Edge client, orchestration, prompting, and UX
Drive innovation at the intersection of browser technology and AI systems, defining the next generation of intelligent browsing
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, JavaScript, Python, or TypeScript
OR equivalent experience
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, JavaScript, Python, or TypeScript
OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, JavaScript, Python, or TypeScript
OR equivalent experience
Ability to perform system-wide root cause analyses and drive measurable improvements
