Job Description:

CTO Data Technology CIB is part of the Group Data Strategy, aimed at transforming the way data is governed and used across HSBC. The Office of Applied AI (OAAI) focuses on delivering world-class Generative AI solutions ethically and responsibly, enhancing decision-making processes across the organization.

Job Responsibility:

Build agents that source data from various systems and deliver it to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) models
Design and implement data transfer pipelines that support scalable AI solutions
Develop and maintain microservices that integrate with the broader Generative AI architecture
Collaborate with colleagues across engineering and data science to deliver high-impact AI use cases
Contribute to secure, ethical and efficient data integration aligned with HSBC AI practices
Participate in continuous improvement efforts and adapt to changing project needs

Requirements:

Proficiency in Python and experience working in Unix/Linux environments (on-premises)
Experience working with time-series or analytics databases, such as Elasticsearch
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Cloud services and infrastructure
Experience building RESTful APIs using Python FastAPI
Knowledge of Generative AI APIs and their integration
Experience designing data models and building pipelines to source databases for Retrieval-Augmented Generation
Ability to design and deploy scalable microservices
Experience using Git and GitHub and deploying with industry-standard tools such as Ansible and Jenkins
