Join the IC3 policy team, where we are at the forefront of modernizing tenant policy administration for Microsoft Teams. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the design and development of scalable microservices that support secure, intelligent, and compliant policy enforcement across global and sovereign cloud environments. You will play a pivotal role in integrating AI and Copilot capabilities into policy workflows, enabling proactive insights, automated governance, and enhanced user experiences. This role demands technical depth, architectural leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver resilient and enterprise-grade solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Architect and implement distributed systems that power tenant policy enforcement, configuration, and monitoring in Microsoft Teams
Lead modernization efforts by deprecating hyperscale legacy systems and transitioning to microservices aligned with platform standards
Drive AI/Copilot integration into policy services to automate policy management, surface intelligent recommendations, and improve administrator productivity
Collaborate with partner teams to deliver cohesive, scalable, and compliant solutions
Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and uphold engineering standards through code quality, reliability, and performance optimization
Own service health through on-call rotations, incident response, and proactive monitoring strategies
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience designing and delivering production-grade services at scale
Reliable understanding of distributed systems, data consistency models, and service reliability
Experience with secure development practices and privacy-by-design principles
Proficient communication skills and a track record of cross-team collaboration and mentorship
