We're looking for an exceptional, product-minded Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team and help scale Omnea through its next phase of growth. Over the next year, our team will double in size, our enterprise customer base will grow from ~100 to 200+, and revenue will triple. In this role, you’ll focus on building high-quality product features and systems, owning meaningful problem spaces end-to-end, and having a direct impact on customers as we continue the transition from start-up to scale-up.
Job Responsibility:
Building high-quality product features and systems
Owning meaningful problem spaces end-to-end
Having a direct impact on customers
Being involved in key product decisions, including prioritising our product roadmap, defining project scopes, and technical direction
End-to-end ownership of projects from product, design and architectural decisions, all the way to deployment, monitoring and measuring impact on users
Deploying small, incremental changes to production multiple times per day
Helping scale our product, architecture and processes efficiently while maintaining performance and reliability
Engaging with customers, understanding their experience, and iterating our products based on their input
Requirements:
5+ years of software engineering experience
Experience building web apps having designed and implemented features from start to finish (full-stack, using Typescript and ideally AWS)
Experience spearheading the engineering of critical systems before, working with best-in-class tooling in AWS, IaaC, observability and quality assessments
Understanding of what it takes to build highly reliable & well architected products
Comfortable moving across the stack when necessary
Ready to pick up new skills and build quickly
Craves ownership
Team player
Comfortable when faced with ambiguity
Prepared to undertake pair-programming interview stage in Javascript or Typescript
This is a full-stack role — if you are only frontend, only backend, or primarily DevOps/platform focused, this likely isn’t a fit
Nice to have:
Performed exceptionally at something else in the past, be it academics, sport, work etc
Love engineering, it’s more than a job
Contributed to open-source projects or worked on side-projects in your spare time
Confident in your ability to tackle ambiguous problems and crank out quality code
