Job Description:

HSBC is seeking an experienced professional to join the team in the role of Senior Software Engineer. Job Responsibility:

Experience of software delivery life cycle along with a passion for testing and delivery of quality products and automation
Exposure and awareness to other disciplines (Analysis, Testing, Operational Support) within the Network operations
Background of working with the Agile methodology and associated tool sets – Jira, Confluence, Service NOW etc.
Conceptual knowledge of networking technologies and protocols
Ability to work as part of a team to ensure team success
Customer and service-focused, representing Connectivity (Telecoms) globally

Requirements:

Awareness of networking (Physical and Virtual) concepts like Routing & Switching, Firewalls, Subnetting, VPNs
Strong experience working on Web/API Technologies
Strong experience in Python and Python testing best practices
Good to have BASH scripting experience
Strong experience of automation/testing tools – Ansible, Terraform, GitHub (Version Control), Postman, Jenkins
Awareness of Cloud technologies, including AWS, GCP and Azure
Working experience with Linux OS
Understanding of Networking concepts like Firewalls, Routing & Switching, NAT, Port, Subnetting, VPNs
