Job Description:

As a Senior Python Engineer, you will own a full life cycle of development and be a senior contributor on a team responsible for the end-to-end delivery of increasingly complex features that are correctly implemented and high quality. You will take initiative to identify and own solutions to problems, and you will partner with cross-functional teams owning requirements that take into account all parties’ needs. You will act as a resource by advising and mentoring junior engineers to continue to build the technical capabilities of our teams.

Job Responsibility:

Own a full life cycle of development and be a senior contributor on a team responsible for the end-to-end delivery of increasingly complex features
take initiative to identify and own solutions to problems
partner with cross-functional teams owning requirements that take into account all parties’ needs
act as a resource by advising and mentoring junior engineers
build, maintain, and release our well architected features using, Python, Kubernetes, and Cloud technologies
understand and make well-reasoned design decisions and tradeoffs in your areas of expertise
contribute to architecture decisions for scalable, cost-efficient pipelines
champion testing, monitoring, and operational excellence across distributed systems
take an active role in the design and planning of upcoming features
partner with internal teams such as UX and Product Management
continue to develop a deep understanding of our products in order to support our customers

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years experience in software development using Python or equivalent
strong relational database knowledge
working knowledge of the major cloud service providers
excited by technology, curious and eager to learn
the attitude and ability to thrive in a high-growth, evolving environment
collaborative team player who has the ability to partner with others and drive toward solutions
experience in breaking down complex goals into actionable weekly releases
strong creative problem solving skills
solid communicator with excellent written and verbal communications skills both within the team and cross functionally
passionate about delighting customers, puts the customer needs at the forefront of all decision making
demonstrable experience of delivering complex solutions to customers

Nice to have:

Cloud security knowledge not necessary but advantageous
