Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Azure OneDeploy team, you will be at the forefront of building and maintaining the deployment and repair orchestration systems that power Microsoft’s global cloud infrastructure. Azure OneDeploy is a critical component of Azure Compute, which, along with Storage and Networking, forms the foundation of the Modern Microsoft Cloud. Your work will directly impact the reliability and scalability of services running on millions of virtual machines across the globe. This role involves designing and implementing systems that ensure safe, efficient, and highly available deployments for both customer-facing and internal services. You will collaborate with teams across Microsoft, including those behind services like Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, HDInsight, and IndexServer. Your contributions will enable rapid innovation and continuous delivery while maintaining strict availability guarantees for customers. The work you do will have a multiplier effect across Microsoft, as it supports core infrastructure teams such as Compute, Cloud Networking, and Storage. By delivering smart, resilient, and scalable deployment solutions, you will help unlock the full potential of Microsoft’s cloud offerings and empower other teams to build and iterate faster on a stable foundation.
