Job Description:

Senior Software Engineer role at HSBC, one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world. The role involves being part of a strategic initiative IT team responsible for design, development, maintenance and support of solutions with focus on performance improvement and full automation of DevOps processes.

Job Responsibility:

Be part of strategic initiative IT team
Design, develop, maintain and support solutions with focus on performance improvement
Full automation of DevOps processes and procedures
Coding and development to deliver business outcomes with future state architecture (FSA)
Troubleshoot defects and come up with sustainable solutions
Work with end-to-end teams from requirements analysis to production rollout
Interact with large global team to come up with strategic solutions
Build sustainable software with quality, reusability, scalability and supportability

Requirements:

Strong hands-on Core Java
JAVA 8
SpringBoot
Micro-Services
JUnit Testing
Maven
Java and SpringBoot OR Appium/Selenium Automation
Pragmatic approach to delivering modular and extensible code
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in working in DevOps and Agile model
Good knowledge on Jira and Confluence
Sound verbal and written communication skills to interact with global teams
Good Inter-personal skills
Good Stakeholder Management

Nice to have:

Native Mobile Platforms (Android or iOS)
Tools like GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Checkmarks, Splunk, and AppDynamics
Cloud (AWS or GCP or Azure)
