Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Technology as part of Wealth and Investment Management Technology. This position will be responsible for migrating applications to modern technologies, with a strong focus on design, API integration, testing and analysis.

Job Responsibility:

Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients’ needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Requirements:

4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of experience in .NET, Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and API
4+ years of experience in analysis of legacy .NET systems to reverse engineer architecture and functional flows
4+ years of experience in real-time batch data ingestion, processing, and provisioning such as Apache Kafka
4+ years of Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) development experience
4+ years of experience with databases such as SQL server or Oracle
4+ years of Mongo database experience

Nice to have:

4+ years of experience using Splunk to correlate, analyze and report on database activity events
Experienced in debugging and resolving production issues to ensure application stability and performance
Knowledge and understanding of test driven and behavior driven application development
Experience working in Agile environments, including familiarity with Agile principles and Scrum methodology
Strong understanding of financial services industry terminology and procedures, enabling effective collaboration with business stakeholders and financial advisors
Experience using API testing and documentation tools such as Postman and/or Swagger UI
Familiarity with SDLC tools and processes, including GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Harness
Quick learner with a passion for mastering new and emerging technologies
