Senior Software Engineer

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

• Strong proficiency in Java, with deep understanding of object‑oriented programming, design patterns, and multi‑threaded application development
• Hands‑on experience with Spring ecosystem including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and related frameworks for enterprise application development
• Expertise in ORM technologies such as Hibernate/JPA, with strong understanding of entity relationships, performance tuning, and query optimization
• Solid experience in building and consuming Webservices, including RESTful APIs and SOAP-based integrations
• Proven ability to design and develop Microservices, including service decomposition, inter‑service communication, fault tolerance, and API gateway patterns
• Working knowledge of Kafka, including event streaming, message publishing/consumption, consumer groups, and handling high‑throughput distributed messaging
• Experience working with Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) for application deployment, monitoring, scalability, and managed services
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and automated build/deployment processes
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes for cloud‑native deployments
