Job Description:

HSBC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in testing and development. This role is based in Pune, India, and involves working with test automation tools, Java programming, CI/CD practices, and modern testing methodologies. The role emphasizes strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a proactive mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

Solid test automation skills with Selenium, Appium, Nightwatch, Cucumber, REST-assured, XFramework
A good understanding of the test process and testing knowledge
Hands-on experience on Java programming on Java 8 and above
A good understanding of OOP (Object-Oriented Programming)
Hands-on experience on CI/CD practice for test automation
Familiarity with configuration management systems such as Github, Git
Good understanding of the test pyramid quality model
A solid understanding of modern testing methodologies and strategies (TDD/BDD/risk-based testing)
Comprehensive knowledge and experience on wide-ranging test practices.

Requirements:

10+ years of experience
A minimum of 4 years' IT software testing experience
Strong technical knowledge and experience in Java / Python / Ruby, etc.
A good understanding of the test process and testing knowledge or software development lifecycle
Effective communication skills in spoken and written English
Ability to work independently, proactively and under pressure against multiple deadlines
Ability to work under pressure to complete the project in a tight schedule in a cost effective way
Experience in software development for more than 3 years is an advantage.
