Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments, contribute to large scale planning of strategies, design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments. The role involves reviewing moderately complex technical challenges, resolving issues, collaborating with peers, and leading projects.

Job Responsibility:

Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Develop and maintain scalable Spark, ETL pipelines using Scala and other relevant technologies
Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all processes
Optimize performance of data pipelines and troubleshoot issues as they arise
Document technical designs, processes, and workflows

Requirements:

4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Proficiency in Apache Spark, Scala, SQL programming language
Hands-on experience with ETL tools/processes and data integration frameworks
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL server, etc.)
Familiarity with Big Data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) is advantageous
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to have:

Familiarity with Big Data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
