Purpose of the role: To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Job Responsibility:

Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance
Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives
Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing
Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth
Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions
Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability

Requirements:

Must have bachelor’s degree
solid understanding of data structures and excellent problem-solving skills
excellent coding skills in Python3 and FAST API
excellent coding skills in Java (8+) and solid understanding on Collections, Concurrency, JVM internals (Memory Management, Garbage Collection, Profiling etc)
solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Functional Programming
strong experience with Spring Boot (v.2+), Spring JMS, Spring JDBC, Hibernate JPA etc
strong experience designing high performance, resilient, scalable, and secured system
excellent understanding of design principles, design patterns and microservice architecture
strong experience in PL/SQL (Oracle preferred)
strong experience in testing frameworks like Junit, Mockito, Power Mock, Spring testing framework, etc
experience in versioning tool like Git, Bitbucket, GitLab
demonstrable experience in Agile Methodology
Strong interpersonal and communications skills

Nice to have:

Experience on messaging middleware like IBM MQ or Solace
Experience in Cloud technology (OpenShift preferred)
Experience in Capital Markets and Equity Derivatives Trading and Lifecycling
Knowledge of Investment Banking processes and Operations
