Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, as part of the Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and implement automated test scripts to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of the Payments systems, ensuring secure, accurate, and efficient transaction processing.

Job Responsibility:

Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Requirements:

4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of Java, Python and other relevant technologies
2+ years of experience with SDLC and Agile tools such as JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, Confluence etc

Nice to have:

Experience in using test automation frameworks and tools including Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, and TestNG
Knowledgeable in payment messaging standards such as ISO 8583 and ISO 20022
Experience in API testing and validation using tools like Postman and RestAssured, particularly in the context of payment systems
Strong understanding of Agile development practices, including Scrum and Kanban methodologies
Proficient with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems
Demonstrates analytical thinking and effective problem-solving capabilities
Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork
