Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer. Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Full Stack Software Engineer with strong expertise in automation, testing, and enterprise application engineering. This role will work across home‑grown and COTS applications, building automation frameworks, developing test solutions, supporting large‑scale initiatives such as data center migrations, and driving vulnerability remediation efforts. In addition, the engineer will contribute to AI‑driven initiatives which may include building Agentic workflows, implementing Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), using Model Context Protocol (MCP), and enabling analytics‑driven insights across engineering processes based on business need. The ideal candidate is comfortable blending traditional software engineering with modern AI tools and methodologies.

Job Responsibility:

Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Requirements:

4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
6+ years of experience in full‑stack development with strong expertise in Python.
Hands‑on experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
Strong front‑end experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Deep knowledge of test automation frameworks (PyTest, Robot, Selenium, Playwright).
Expertise with enterprise automation, APIs, microservices, and CI/CD tools.
Experience working with COTS applications and enterprise system integrations.
Solid experience in analyzing and remediating application vulnerabilities.
Working knowledge of Docker, Linux, Git, and cloud-ready development patterns.
Practical experience using AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, MS Copilot, etc.).
Experience with Agentic AI frameworks, RAG architectures, or MCP-based integrations.
Background in data analytics, feature engineering, or ML pipeline development.
Hands-on experience with data center or cloud migration projects.
Experience with IaC (Terraform, Ansible), Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
Familiarity with platforms such as ServiceNow, Splunk, SharePoint, or the Atlassian suite.
Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and cloud-native development.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work on cross-functional teams and manage complex engineering workflows.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Strong ownership mindset and passion for automation and AI‑driven engineering.
