Job Description:

The Authentication Interfaces team delivers a range of authentication products that provide an additional layer of verification for on-line payments. We own a multitude of authentication mechanisms leveraging a wider range of data and biometrics to deliver an improved, consistent online shopping experience. Authentication ensures seamless journeys, minimizing friction while securing transactions. We enable our merchants to minimize fraud and increase conversion and authorization rates by adding an additional layer of security to confirm a shopper's identity. We help merchants grow their business with improved authorization rates, lower fraud, liability protection, and compliance with local industry regulations. We maintain services of critical importance, processing more than 130 million transactions in an average week at Adyen. Processing at scale is business as usual for us. Our crucial role extends beyond existing methods for securing payments: we are heavily investing in and developing cutting-edge technology, including passkeys for authentication and solutions for agentic commerce.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and build solutions for highly scalable and reliable distributed systems
  • Collaborate closely with your team, product managers, and other engineering teams
  • Take end-to-end ownership, seeing your work through the entire development lifecycle
  • Uphold our high standards for system health by implementing robust monitoring, defining SLOs, and creating effective alerting
  • Collaborate across teams and time zones to make things happen, review code, and be open to giving and receiving feedback

  • Experience building web services
  • Experience building REST APIs
