The Product Lifecycle team primarily provides centralized internal tooling and systems for product teams across the company to utilize. These systems include, but are not limited to: unified login, product entitlements, and business structure hierarchies. We love creating well-baked tools that propel the company initiatives forward - and of course, support our restaurant owner end users!
Job Responsibility:
Lead large, complex software projects and/or technical initiatives
break down work for, and provide guidance to, more junior engineer contributors.
Collaborate directly with internal stakeholders (both technical and non-technical) to uncover requirements, ensuring continuous clear communication.
Provide updated estimates regarding ongoing work, and suggest deadline or scope changes as appropriate.
Build and maintain observability tooling and helpful documentation.
Triage and prioritize incoming requests and internal bug reports.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in software development
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
Experience building scalable, production-ready applications.
Experience successfully leading large, complex projects and technical initiatives from discovery to completion.
Strong technical leadership skills
proven track record of taking initiative to improve processes and the codebase. Champion of industry best practices, ownership, and accountability.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and both to technical and non-technical audiences.
Technical experience with backend languages and frameworks, such as: Python: Django/FastAPI/Flask.
Technical experience with various data storage solutions, such as: MySql/Postgres, MongoDB.
Technical experience with cloud technologies, observability tooling, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code.
Nice to have:
Familiarity with ShapeUp software development methodology.
