Job Description:

Join a team of passionate and hardworking entrepreneurs to transform healthcare! Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients. We work in feature teams in an agile environment, while collaborating with product, design, and business teams. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Clinical Assistant team in the Clinical and Financial Domain, based in Paris. As a Senior Software Engineer, your mission will be to work on a cross-functional feature team made up of Software Engineers, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Product Managers, and UX Designers, all focused on the delivery of a fully AI-powered product. Documenting a patient's medical record is painful, requires time, and shifts the focus of the practitioner from the patient to the notes. We launched the Consultation Assistant, a new way of documenting consultations through a new, fully AI-powered product. By joining the team, you'll be impacting tens of thousands of healthcare professionals’ day-to-day experience by freeing them up from their keyboard.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, data scientists, and other engineers to define and implement features to improve healthcare access for patients
  • Take a leading role within the team and contribute to establishing a technical vision that ensures the performance, security, and usability of the application
  • Bring your expertise and past experiences to help us continuously improve the way we design, implement, test, and monitor high-quality features
  • Improve the performance of key features implemented in React (TypeScript/JavaScript), Ruby, and Python, sometimes completely challenging the status quo
  • Take leadership in delivering roadmap items (together with the team)
  • Contribute to establishing a technical vision and co-drive the creation of the roadmap for the next quarters

Requirements:

  • At least 5/6 years of full-stack software engineering experience
  • Experience with React, Ruby, and Python or similar frameworks
  • Strong interest in AI/ML
  • Proactive, curious, collaborative, and eager to learn
  • Focus on code quality and rigorous testing culture
  • Fluent in English

Nice to have:

  • Eager to share knowledge and help the team grow by pair programming and mentoring
  • Have a 'user first' mindset and want to build a product focused on bringing value to its users, through secure, well-tested, and pragmatic code
What we offer:
  • Free health insurance for you and your children
  • Parent Care Program: receive one additional month of leave on top of the legal parental leave
  • Free mental health and coaching services through our partner Moka.care
  • For caregivers and workers with disabilities, a package including an adaptation of the remote policy, extra days off for medical reasons, and psychological support
  • Work from EU countries and the UK for up to 10 days per year, thanks to our flexibility days policy
  • Work Council subsidy to refund part of sport club membership or creative class
  • Up to 14 days of RTT
  • A subsidy from the work council to refund part of the membership to a sport club or a creative class
  • Lunch voucher with Swile card

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping complex systems that real users depend on
  • Strong full-stack fundamentals and experience contributing to user-facing products end-to-end
  • Sound engineering judgment: You make sensible trade-offs, keep scope clear, and improve quality through testing, readable code, and thoughtful design
  • Ownership and follow-through: You take responsibility for what you commit to, communicate clearly when something changes, and unblock yourself or escalate early
  • Collaborative working style: You work well with others, enjoy building in a tight feedback loop, and are comfortable pairing and sharing work in progress
  • Comfort with ambiguity: You can engage with messy problems, ask good questions, and drive toward a practical, shippable solution
  • Fluency with AI coding tools: You use modern AI tools to accelerate delivery, while staying rigorous about correctness and validation
Job Responsibility
Job Responsibility
  • Build systems that live inside clinical workflows: You'll shape how Heidi integrates with the EHRs that run American healthcare. The goal isn't connectivity—it's making Heidi feel like a native capability, not a plugin
  • Turn clinical complexity into simple experiences: US healthcare has layers of billing rules, compliance requirements, and payer constraints. You'll build systems that absorb that complexity so clinicians never see it
  • Build for trust and quality: Write clean, testable code with strong interfaces, thoughtful error handling, and observability. These workflows are depended on by clinicians, operators, and downstream systems
  • Own outcomes, not just code: You'll care about whether the things you build actually help clinicians and improve practice revenue—not just whether they technically work
  • Ship agentic workflow functionality: Build systems where AI assists with extraction, reconciliation, and drafting across workflows, with human review, auditability, and clear controls
  • Operate in close collaboration: Work day-to-day in a highly collaborative environment, including frequent pairing and shared ownership of design and implementation
  • Grow with the domain: Learn how healthcare organizations operate in practice, especially the requirements and constraints that come with serving US customers, and translate that into product improvements
