Requirements

7+ years of professional software engineering experience
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or related field, and/or relevant experience
Strong experience with React/Typescript (or similar frameworks and languages)
Familiarity with Django/Python (or similar backend frameworks and languages)

Job Responsibility

Collaborate with EM, PM and Product Designer to ideate, execute, validate and iterate quickly on new features, and join customer calls to get first-hand feedback on your work
Build and maintain features using React (TypeScript) and Django (Python) in our open-source codebase
Have opportunities to work on high-impact projects that touch the entire stack: understanding the event ingestion pipeline
delving into search and storage systems
and surfacing that data to our customers on our backend and frontend codebases
Work closely with AI/ML, infrastructure, and other EPD teams to ideate, design and build the next generation of Sentry
Build tests and set up monitoring for your work to maintain a high engineering standard for Sentry
Raise the team’s technical aptitude through code review and mentorship

Requirements

Strong experience with JavaScript (Node.js and backend ecosystem)
Solid backend development experience (APIs, integrations, databases, system design)
Willingness and ability to quickly pick up new technologies (e.g., Python, or others as required)
Hands-on experience using AI tools in daily workflows (e.g., Cursor, Claude, or similar)
Solid experience with Claude Code
Experience using plugins/skills and building custom plugins/skills for Claude or Cursor

Requirements

BS degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
5+ years of industry experience as a Software Engineer building scalable, highly available platforms
Expertise with large-scale distributed systems (e.g., Kafka) and cloud platforms ( AWS, GCP, Azure) and proven track record leading the delivery of production-grade systems (deployment, monitoring, reliability, on-call readiness, incident learning)
