Azure Resource Builder (ARB) is a data processing engine which fuels Azure Resource Graph (ARG) and overall, Azure Inventory of cloud resources and is a core service enabling @scale experiences like ARG, Azure Portal, Azure Search, Azure Catalog. It provides a powerful processing pipeline within the Azure Control Plane providing processing capabilities closer to where the inventory data exists. ARB’s vision is to enable any customer (first party or third party) to build inventory data-based solutions with little effort and enable these values to all of Azure customers. Job Responsibility:

  • Providing strong technical leadership, raising the technical bar, maintain data and results-driven culture, nurture a team culture of high collaboration and trust
  • Drive long-term architecture and detailed design for highly scalable distributed systems with simplicity and maintainability as core tenets
  • Collaborate across Azure to develop platforms that help deliver insights and automation to simplify the complex world of managing planetary scale
  • Create clarity and direction in ambiguous problem spaces
  • Communicate effectively and partner well with other disciplines of the project team to deliver high quality solutions from ideas to production code
  • Write exemplary code working with large scale distributed systems with quality, simplicity, and maintainability as core tenets
  • Mentor and develop engineers across all levels through sharing and learning
  • Be a role model for open, honest, and inclusive approach to problem solving

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Java, C++, C# or object-oriented programming OR equivalent experience
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
  • These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

Nice to have:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Java, C++, C# or object-oriented programming OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Java, C++, C# or object-oriented programming OR equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience developing, deploying, monitoring and shipping scalable cloud services
  • Customer passion, accountability, and drive to take on initiatives and accomplish goals
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a can-do attitude: Self-starter, project finisher and adaptable
  • Great communicator, able to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues and technologies understandably and engagingly
  • Strong design and problem-solving skills, with a bias for designing at scale
  • Hands-on experience at shipping a large scale, commercial, online-software solutions
  • 3+ years of building big data or real-time analytics platforms
