Job Description

As a Senior Engineer on Braze’s AI Customer Interface team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our AI decisioning solutions. You will work on high-impact initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence in our product offerings.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting Braze’s self-serve AI Decisioning product built in Vue.js and TypeScript
  • Rebuilding the Vue.js application in React, and integrating it with other customer engagement platform APIs
  • Building new interfaces that provide insights into the performance and behavior of AI decisioning agents
  • Building new experiences that allow users to customize their own AI Decisioning-powered marketing campaigns
  • Influencing Braze’s product strategy and roadmap by providing technical insights and driving innovation in user experience

Requirements

  • Have 5+ years of relevant experience with a strong track record of success
  • Are a master at working in modern frontend languages and frameworks (TypeScript, React, Vue, Angular, etc)
  • Have experience with backend development
  • Have significant experience with frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright)
  • Have a user-centric attitude and care deeply about UX
  • Pride yourself on writing elegant, maintainable code
  • Are comfortable working in a large frontend codebase with many stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Experience developing user experiences for machine learning and data-intensive applications
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails and/or Python
  • Familiarity with reinforcement learning concepts and applications

  • Design and evolve inference serving architectures to improve utilization and latency using techniques such as disaggregated serving, multi-token prediction, KV offload/retrieval, and quantization—validated via staged rollouts and production guardrails.
  • Extend AI infrastructure abstractions to support elastic, heterogeneous inference engines reliably at scale (e.g., dynamic scaling across model families, modalities, and workload classes while maintaining isolation and SLOs).
  • Tune and scale inference engines across NVIDIA GPU generations (A100, H100, H200) for state-of-the-art OpenAI models, focusing on serving efficiency, utilization, and reliability (not hardware bring-up).
  • Partner with networking and storage teams to leverage high-performance interconnects (e.g., RDMA/InfiniBand-class fabrics such as RoCE over IB) for distributed inference, without owning low-level kernel/driver enablement.
  • Drive end-to-end features from design through production: observability, diagnostics, performance regression detection, and operational excellence for inference serving.
