Job Description

We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Agentic Systems) to be a technical driver on the Tavus Conversational Video Interface (CVI) product. This is a very hands-on role focused primarily on adding agentic capabilities to our Replicas.

Job Responsibility

  • Jump into our existing CVI codebase and own the development and delivery of new agentic systems and features (ex: RAG, Memories, MCP, Async task management, job scheduling)
  • Help shape the future for how users interact with our real-time systems by partnering closely with our Research and Conversational Video Interface teams
  • Contribute across the full product stack as needed, including dipping into research
  • Work with the team to nail the observability and reliability of these systems

Requirements

  • Fluent in Python and have great knowledge of open-source agent frameworks
  • Deep experience building complex production-grade LLM-based agentic systems
  • Comfortable out of your normal comfort zone and are willing to learn on the fly
  • Thrive in an ambiguous and fast changing space
  • Bring a senior mindset: you set direction, own decisions, and get things over the finish line
  • Communicate the complex with incredible clarity and leverage your communication abilities to teach others
