We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the AI Health Companion stream within the Patient domain. Your mission will be to transform the Doctolib app into a full health companion powered by AI, helping patients manage their health with accuracy, empathy, and safety. You will work in a feature team developing an AI-powered chat built to answer patients' questions about their or their loved ones' health.
Job Responsibility:
Design, ship, and operate production-grade agentic systems that answer key health challenges for patients
Partner with data scientists to design and implement evaluation pipelines, security/safety guardrails, and metrics
Validate hypotheses quickly with offline evaluation datasets and A/B tests on real traffic
Develop and maintain core agentic capabilities including memory, reasoning orchestration, and tool adapters
Own performance, observability and security: monitoring dashboards, SLO/SLI, security posture
Ensure privacy and security by design
Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that shape Doctolib's future AI platform and best practices
Requirements:
4+ years of experience as a software engineer
At least one significant experience using Python
Understand and promote best practices related to the software development life cycle (automated testing, CI/CD, DevOps)
Product-oriented and comfortable guiding teammates to suggest tradeoffs
Ability to adapt to the most efficient technologies to solve issues
Comfortable speaking and writing in English in day-to-day work
Nice to have:
Experience with traditional ML or agentic systems in production
Experience in the medical domain
