Job Description:

As a Sr. Software Engineer on Team Sellability, you will join a world class team of engineers and e-commerce experts to bring simple and powerful systems to life. You will architect and build the critical systems that determine product eligibility—what a merchant can sell and where they can sell it across international borders, while ensuring a frictionless merchant experience. In this role, you will work closely with a high-performing team to evolve our Sellability and Restrictions services, ensuring they are high-reliable, scalable, high-performance, and capable of handling the nuances of global expansion. Your goal is to transform complex regulatory and market barriers into a seamless, automated experience that empowers merchants to reach customers anywhere in the world. Our platform is built as a microservices architecture with Scala backends, using API-first software development, and continuously delivered.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work with a motivated team of world class experts in cross border e-commerce to remove regulatory hurdles using software
  • Define and build elegant, simple APIs, allowing integrators to solve problems in interesting new ways
  • Operate a modern cloud-based, event driven microservice architecture written in Scala and Play Framework and built on Docker
  • Build on top of cloud-based tools including Datadog, Kubernetes and AWS

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience building highly scalable consumer-facing applications
  • Proven experience across the Software Development Life cycle
  • Experience with Agile, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment
  • Interest and knowledge of cloud technologies and tooling

Nice to have:

Familiar with functional programming and a desire to learn Scala
