Job Description:

Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) position at Wells Fargo supporting Technology Enterprise Customer Experience, Remediations & Loudspeaker (TECRL) Team, focusing on mission-critical test deliverables and implementing advanced test automation solutions using Wells Fargo Automation Framework (WAF).

Job Responsibility:

Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain
Review moderately complex technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet client needs
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges
Lead projects and act as an escalation point
Define and implement development and integration of advanced test automation solutions
Drive shift-left testing strategies
Build functional, regression and end-to-end automation
Integrate generative AI capabilities to enhance test coverage

Requirements:

4+ years of Software Engineering experience
4+ years in test automation and programming (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript
Selenium, Playwright, Postman)
4+ years of experience in designing and developing custom automation frameworks for web and microservices testing
3+ years with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub)
2+ years with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
2+ years with test strategy planning and leadership, Agile methodologies, shift-left

Nice to have:

Proven expertise in automating web applications using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar
Hands-on experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) methodologies
Proficient in Java (preferred), Python, JavaScript, TestNG, .NET for test automation
Passion for continuous learning and improvement
Strong collaboration skills
Excellent communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
Experience contributing to enterprise-wide quality engineering transformation initiatives
