Job Description:

Senior Software Development Engineer - Full Stack position at CVS Health Digital, working on building digital assets, driving delivery excellence, and improving customer experience in the healthcare digital space

Job Responsibility:

Lead the design, development, and implementation of B2B applications using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Search, NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra) and/or Kafka
Extensive front end experience with Angular JS/React JS, HTML, CSS, Java Scripts
Develop and maintain scalable REST and GraphQL APIs
Act as a technical owner across strategic efforts involving the Cloud, backend solution, streaming, ML and more within Catalog
Implement pub/sub messaging solutions using Kafka
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineering teams to understand business requirements
Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior developers
Integrate cloud-based services into application architecture
Drive the adoption of CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment
Analyze and resolve complex issues in the applications
Continuously optimize application performance and scalability
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and tools
Partner with technical leaders within CVS and the open source community
Promote reusability of API's across various clients
Encourage and maintain engineering excellence
Develop mindshare by collaborating and discussing ideas
Plot and execute on the path from prototype to production for features

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in systems analysis and application program development including both front end and backend
5+ years of development experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, SpringBoot, Search, NoSQL and/or Kafka
5+ years of experience within an Agile software development
3+ years of Web application development experience using Angular JS/React, CSS, Html, Javascript and / or Nodejs
3+ years of experience building Enterprise solutions and managing client requirements and technical solutions
3+ years of experience with cloud computing technologies
possess a track record developing in GCP/Azure or similar public cloud environment
2+ years of experience in a DevOps role working with various technologies like Kubernetes, Argocd, CircleCI, GIT, Jenkins, Maven, JUnit, Docker, JMeter, Artifactory
2+ years of CI/CD Pipeline automation experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Nice to have:

Experience with Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence (Vertex AI, Gen AI, GPT 3.5) modeling
Familiarity with GraphQL/gRPC
Experience working with any Cloud Providers/Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Google Cloud Storage, Kubernetes (GKE) specifically from a software development perspective
Hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka or equivalent pub/sub messaging systems, including designing and implementing Kafka topics and consumers
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes with a focus on deploying and managing applications
