As a Senior Software Developer - Robotics at Mujin, you will design and implement cutting-edge algorithms for real-time motion planning, perception, and control of industrial robots. You will contribute to system architecture, optimize performance for large-scale deployments, and mentor junior developers. This role is ideal for someone passionate about robotics, automation, and pushing the boundaries of intelligent systems.
Job Responsibility:
Design and develop advanced robotics software for motion planning, kinematics, and real-time control
Architect and optimize software systems for industrial automation environments
Integrate Mujin’s “Teachless” technology with major industrial robot arms (Fanuc, Yaskawa, ABB, etc.)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration
Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering technical growth and best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in deployed systems

Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field
4+ years of experience using Python and C++ for high-performance applications
Experience with Linux development environments
Hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2 frameworks
Expertise in 3D motion planning and robot kinematics
Familiarity with industrial robot arms (Fanuc, Yaskawa, ABB)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have:
Experience with real-time systems and distributed architecture
Knowledge of perception algorithms and sensor integration
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development practices
