Job Description:

Senior Social Worker - Safe and Supported Team. We're currently seeking a Senior Social Worker to join our vital Safe and Supported Team. This is a fantastic chance to make a real difference in the lives of children and families while earning a competitive rate of £31.70 per hour.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing a complex caseload of children and families requiring safeguarding and support, ensuring all interventions are child-centred and outcome-focused
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify risks, needs, and strengths, and developing robust care plans
  • Leading and participating in multi-agency meetings, working collaboratively with other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to less experienced colleagues, contributing to their professional development
  • Preparing and presenting clear, concise reports for various purposes, including court proceedings and child protection conferences
  • Undertaking direct work with children and families, building trusting relationships and empowering them to make positive changes
  • Responding effectively to crisis situations, ensuring the immediate safety and well-being of children
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in line with statutory requirements and local policies
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of team practices and service delivery

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with proven experience in children's services
  • Social Work England registration is essential
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required
  • BA in social work
