We have a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Senior Social worker to join the Pre- Birth Team for our North West and Central team. Do you have the drive to support and empower parents to achieve their full potential? Are you curious and like working with some of the most vulnerable families in trying to achieve the best outcome for new born children? We are looking for an energetic social worker to come and join an established team. We offer a reduced case load. Hybrid work - Flexible to be able to work from the office and remotely. As a Children’s Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assess and manage risk
  • Attend complex case meetings and present findings
  • Hold cases at CIN and CP - PP to ICO
  • Work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to assess needs, develop care plans, and provide ongoing support
  • Develop robust partnerships with other teams and outside agencies
  • to include the police, health, schools and voluntary organisations

Requirements:

  • A degree in Social Work and you must have completed your ASYE
  • Registration with Social Work England (SWE)
  • Experience working with children and families in a social work setting
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Must reside within a suitable commutable distance around Birmingham
  • Have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK
